Strathmore Vets are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Practice Manager. This role is ideal for someone who has some managerial experience and good communication skills and who is proficient in IT systems including all Microsoft systems. We are looking for someone who understands the financial aspects of reports and returns and has some knowledge of managing health and safety requirements. A strong attention to detail is essential and some knowledge of the veterinary industry and pet insurance is preferred but full training will be given.

Duties will include:
• Leading and developing our team to ensure exceptional client experiences.
• Handle and resolve client complaints with finesse.
• Providing proactive support to Drive the business forward by supporting projects initiated by the Clinical Director and Group.
• Overseeing financial aspects including debt management, banking and having some knowledge of pet insurance.
• Building relationships with IVC's various departments.
• Payroll
• HR management; absences, holiday requests, appraisals etc.
• Being the go-to person for employee relations, supported by our HR team.
• Coordinating all maintenance and health and safety

This is a full-time position covering Monday-Friday, with absolutely no OOH! We value work-life balance, so we are open to discussing flexible working of a minimum of 35 hours, to see what suits you and us best.

Our Fantastic Practice

We are a well-equipped, large, 1st opinion practice based in Andover, Hampshire. We are situated in a rural town just off the A303 with good links to London, coastal areas, and the countryside. We are also close to several larger cities such as Salisbury, Southampton and Winchester and are approximately an hour away from Southampton and London Heathrow airports.
We offer modern technology such as digital x-ray, state-of-the-art dental x-ray and facilities, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, K-laser, multi-parameter machines and specialised ophthalmology equipment. We are also a gold-standard cat-friendly practice with a separate cat ward and cat theatre. In addition, we are the only practice in our area to provide our out-of-hours emergency service.

About the Team and Culture

We are currently a team of 4 full-time vets including an experienced Clinical Director who provides mentorship and support to the clinical team, 6 RVNS, 1 HVN, 4 receptionists and 1 VCA. We also have our own dedicated in-house lab vet, meaning we can analyse many different samples in-house and get fast results for our clients. Many of our vets and nurses are certificate holders including subjects such as advanced medicine, advanced surgery, ophthalmology, behaviour and dentistry.

We like to try and get involved in the local community, helping local charities, and taking part in school visits and career fairs where possible. We strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible and strive towards a positive pawprint.
